The Gourmet Recipes: Best treat with pepper!

Are you a fan of pepper? If so, you must not miss this article! Today, we will introduce you three recipes from The Gourmet Travel, the organic Kampot pepper producer from La Plantation, Cambodia.

1. CACIO E PEPE PASTA

How to cook:
In a large saucepan, boil water with little salt, and cook the pasta. In the mean time, grate the pecorino Romano. Cook some chopped garlic in olive oil, then add crushed pepper and a splash of the pasta cooking water. Once the pasta is cooked, drain them, but keep some cooking water. Pour the spaghetti into the pan. Mix continuously the pasta, some cooking water and the cheese. When the consistency looks creamy, you know it’s ready to serve! Feel free to add more pecorino and pepper on top.

2. SAUTÉED FRUITS

If you are a fan of fruit and dessert, you have to try it!

 

How to cook:

Sautéed fruits with butter (apricots, pears, peaches, strawberries), add honey or maple syrup to caramelize. At the very end of cooking, add the Salted peppercorns and serve immediately.

3. GOLDEN LATTE

Golden Latte, also named Turmeric Latte, has been popular around the world for centuries. It is said to boost the immune system, improve the skin, reduce joint pain, and relax the body for sleep. It’s also a common Ayurvedic treatment for the common cold.

 

How to cook:

Prepare your turmeric paste: 12.5cl of water, 30g of turmeric powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of Black Kampot Pepper powder. Heat it on low for 5 minutes. Add a cup of hot coconut milk (or vegetable milk), 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric paste, 1 teaspoon of coconut oil and a little honey if you wish. Emulsify and drink it while it’s hot, or alternatively with ice.

 

Definitely good looking and good to drink!
