This season, Berluti returns to its roots with a new version of Brunico.
Inspired by a pair of bespoke ski boots designed for Swedish film star Greta Garbo in the 1930’s, the first Brunico was born in 2011, a modern interpretation of the original’s timeless chic that would eventually become one of the staples of Berluti’s Winter collections. This season’s addition to the Brunico line is particularly faithful to the original design, while keeping a contemporary fashion feel and a flair for today’s outdoor trend.
This season’s Brunico is available in three different renditions:
Its Ice Gold Patina – obtained by mixing yellow and brown tones – catches the light with a specially contrasted effect.
In its Ice Brown version – a patina recovered from the archives by Kris Van Assche, composed by a variety of brown shades emphasised by a glacé finishing -, it features a leather and rubber sole, a large buckle strap over flat waxed laces, a glazed calf reinforcement on the heel and details including D rings and eyelets.
As a Derby shoe, featuring two metal rings, three eyelets and a glazed calf reinforcement on the heel. With its Ice Brown patina, it becomes a bold city statement.
