Scarlett Café & Wine Bar is bringing the seafood loving nation of Hong Kong the sumptuous flavours of the Alaskan red king crab. The prized meat, that’s famously tender, succulent and sweet in flavour, will be featured on a special menu of five dishes created by Head Chef Danny Grimshaw.
The delicious, reddish-orange beast from the deep Alaskan waters has garnered a world- renowned reputation over recent years for its unmatched snowy meat with a lush, almost creamy texture and a delicate sweet flavour that barely hints of the sea. Chef Danny Grimshaw brings his passion for farm-to-table cooking and Scarlett’s flair for French cuisine together to create dishes that showcase the succulent crab without compromising on creativity.
Diners will rejoice in the light yet indulgent Alaskan king crab cakes with saffron aioli & Comte cheese ($148) that are perfectly paired a glass of crisp chardonnay, or the fresh and texturally pleasing Alaskan king crab salad with smoked salmon for only $198. The tastes of Alaskan king crab and truffle pecorino come together in a wonderfully surprising and warming risotto main ($228), and the freshly grilled crab flesh is treated with the upmost respect in a main of grilled garlic Alaskan king crab with asparagus and lemon salad ($598). In true Scarlett style, diners can enjoy the succulent crab with French charm in a Vol-au-vent with a velvety white wine sauce for $318.
This special menu is only available during October and November, so seafood lovers are encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment!
